Honoring 25 years of Vitamin L!

About the Cause

The purpose of The Vitamin L Project is to spread love and goodwill, and to encourage positive character development through music,by inspiring young people with messages that are meaningful in their daily lives.

Over the past 25 years, Vitamin L has given over 1,000 performances at schools, festivals, conferences and community events around Central New York and beyond.

Vitamin L has reached hundreds of thousands of young people via concerts and 5 award winning recordings.

70 youth take turns performing with Vitamin L’s songwriter, Jan Nigro in about 50 Vitamin L concerts a year.

In 2007 The Vitamin L Project received a Certificate of Recognition from the governor of New York “for being in the forefront of helping to promote the ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by promoting peace in our schools and communities.”

Vitamin L was also honored by President Obama, who sent a letter of appreciation to Vitamin L for their many years of work with children.
